Lourdes Guerrero, EdD, MSW is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA CTSI Evaluation Team, focused on the CTSI Research Education, Training, and Career Development Programs (CTSI-ED). Prior to joining the CTSI, Lourdes worked in the Office of Graduate Medical Education.
Lourdes completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership at UCLA and holds degrees from UC Berkeley and the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Her research agenda includes health disparities and public policy, evaluation of educational programs, diversity and workforce development, and women in academic health sciences.
Lourdes is also committed to addressing issues of educational inequality and poverty alleviation by serving on community boards, including the UCLA Latino Staff and Faculty Association (LSFA), Ready, Set, Read (a non-profit dedicated to encouraging and teaching low-income parents to read to their preschool aged children), and MEND (Meeting Each Need with Dignity in Pacoima, CA).
