Dr. Martin Lee is a Professor of Biostatistics and CTSI service statistician with expertise in pharmacological statistics and clinical trials. He is on the faculty of King-Drew Medical Center, teaches introductory statistics at King-Drew and widely collaborates with investigators, especially in the general area of epidemiology and diabetes. In addition, Dr. Lee collaborates with the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare system in several roles. CTSI investigators at King-Drew will collaborate with him as the lead statistician in the CTSI Biostatistics, Study Design and Clinical Data Management Program (BSD-CDM). In collaboration with the Research Education, Training, and Career Development Program (CTSI-ED), he will coordinate short courses in select topical areas at study sites. The courses will be accessible online in real time via webcasting or point-to-point videoconferencing, and archived on the CTSI Virtual Home. In addition, Dr. Lee will work with other BSD-CDM faculty to conduct inter-institutional Biostatistics Grand Rounds and provide mentoring and service on PhD committees. In collaboration with the CTSI-ED, he will facilitate the enhancement of its training programs across the CTSI.
